Care

Caring for your bags is essential to ensure they remain in good condition and last for a long time. Here are some general care instructions to follow:

Regular Cleaning:

  • Shake out the bag regularly to remove any loose dirt or debris.
  • Spot clean stains promptly using a mild detergent or soap and a soft cloth or sponge. Gently dab the stained area, avoiding vigorous rubbing that could damage the fabrics.

Hand Washing:

  • Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild detergent suitable for delicate items.
  • Submerge the bag in the water and gently agitate the water to distribute the detergent. Do not wring, twist, or scrub the bag, as this can distort the crochet stitches.
  • Allow the bag to soak for a short period (5-10 minutes) to loosen dirt and oils.
  • Gently swish the bag through the water to clean it, paying extra attention to any soiled areas.
  • Rinse the bag thoroughly with cool water until all detergent is removed.

Drying:

  • After washing, gently press the bag between clean, absorbent towels to remove excess water. Do not wring or twist the bag.
  • Reshape the bag to its original form, carefully stretching it if needed, and allow it to air dry on a clean, flat surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Avoid hanging the bag by its handles, as this can cause stretching and distortion.

Storage:

  • When not in use, store your bag in your ARDE dust bag and in a cool, dry place.

Protection:

  • Avoid exposing the bag to excessive sunlight, as prolonged UV exposure can fade colours.
  • Be cautious around sharp objects that could tear the fabrics.
